Money, Power, Leverage

A practical breakdown of the three forces that move the needle — in that order.

Let us have an honest conversation. Not motivational. Not abstract. Honest.

There are three things that actually determine how far a person can go in this world: money, power, and leverage. And most people are chasing the third one without building the first two. That's why they're spinning.

Money comes first. Not because money is everything — it isn't. But because without financial oxygen, you cannot breathe long enough to build anything else. Money buys you time. It buys you options. It buys you the ability to say no to the thing that would compromise you, and yes to the opportunity you'd otherwise have to watch from the sidelines. Before you talk about influence and reach and changing the world, ask yourself: do you have enough money to survive three months without income? Because if not, every decision you make is being made from desperation, and desperation is a terrible strategist.

Build the money first. Learn to earn. Learn to save. Learn to make money make money. It doesn't have to be millions. It has to be enough to give you room.

Then power. Power is not a dirty word — it just gets used by dirty people often enough that we've become afraid of it. Real power is the ability to make decisions, to set direction, to create conditions. It lives in relationships, in reputation, in the rooms you're in and the voice you've built. Power compounds when it's rooted in trust. So you build it by becoming useful, by being reliable, by doing what you say in a world where most people don't.

Finally, leverage. Leverage is where it gets exciting — because leverage is what multiplies everything. It's the systems you build, the audience you've grown, the intellectual property you own, the team that executes while you sleep. Leverage is what separates people who work hard from people who work hard and scale. But leverage built on no money and no power is a house on sand. Shaky. Loud. Then gone.

The sequence matters. Money. Power. Leverage. In that order. Not as a rigid formula, but as a direction to face.

Most people reverse it. They chase leverage — the following, the brand deals, the visibility — without building the financial and relational foundation first. And when it wobbles (and it will wobble), there's nothing underneath to catch it.

Build correctly. Build in order. Then build big.
